Role:

Senior developer with expertise across the tech stack developing quality code.  This role will work to develop applications within a cloud-based big data platform in an Agile development environment.  Develop and maintain applications using technologies such as Java, React, Docker, and Java Spring.

 Responsibilities:

•Mentor a team developers and interface with the client.

•Design, develop, test and debug new and existing applications using microservices

•Document software technical specifications, application design, and database design.

•Responsible for writing code to specifications and under direction of management.

•Develop custom reports and respond to ad-hoc requests from client.

•Meet with end users to understand their needs to implement software solutions.

•Perform analysis and provide recommendations of software requirements to determine feasibility of design.

•Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, Story point estimation etc.)

 Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field

•Strong understanding of microservices architecture and hands-on experience designing and creating microservices using best practices

•5+ years of professional full stack development experience using React, Docker, GraphQL, Apollo and Java Spring.

•Hands-on experience designing and developing applications that are decoupled from backend via RESTful web services.

•Professional experience writing unit tests, performing code reviews, doing API testing (Postman, Swagger etc.)

•Working knowledge of multiple database and storage environments: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and AWS S3.

•Expertise with Git version control

 Desired:

•Knowledge of accessibility/UX best practices and Section 508 compliance, and/or WCAG 2.0standards

 Clearance Requirements:

•Must have active Secret clearance
